The Chamber organized a cocktail in honor of the Ambassador of Japan Tatsuhiro Shindo at the Golf Club of Uruguay on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
They welcomed Ambassador Shindo, several representatives of companies associated and linked to the Chamber, paying homage to him at the beginning of his mission in Uruguay, since his arrival took place in March.
For many years, Japan has been providing important cooperation to Uruguay in many areas. The two countries maintain a constant flow of trade. The investments made in recent years have been growing, to which is added recently the signing of an Investment Treaty, which constitutes a framework to be further deepened. It is also worth mentioning the opening of the Japanese market to Uruguayan meats.
Both countries, their governments and the private sector are keen to continue looking for opportunities to increase trade, business and bilateral investments. The Chamber has always been committed to continue collaborating to such ends with the different actors involved willing to receive the concerns that are raised from both Japan and Uruguay.
