October 18, 2023. Activity framed in the Centenary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Uruguay
Between October 18 and 20, 2023, a Mission of Japanese businessmen to Uruguay organized by JETRO was received.
The Centennial Committee and the Uruguayan-Japanese Chamber participated as co-organizers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining and the Embassy of Japan in Uruguay supported and collaborated.
The visitors visited the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay, Zonamerica and the port of Montevideo.
The interest of the visitors was aimed at studying possibilities of new businesses, the current state of Uruguay in terms of energy sources, especially renewables, the possibilities of Uruguay as a technological hub, free zones and the port of Montevideo and its services.
