Inauguration of the commemorative monolith

On July 26, 2023, it was inaugurated in the Japanese garden of Montevideo, placed at the Blanes Museum, a monolith in centenary testimony.

It was attended by the Hon. Japan Ambassador Hideki Asari, the mayor of Montevideo Ing. Carolina Cosse and the president of the Centennial Committee and the Japanese Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Isidoro Hodara. In the ceremony these authorities directed the personalities present allusive words to said event.

Then the commemorative monolith was discovered, a granite block that was donated by the Spanish company installed in Uruguay, Galmabli S.A. through efforts carried out by the Japanese Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Once the discovery of the monolith was fulfilled, a cocktail was offered to those present.
